The Oxford Wine Cellar has confirmed it will open its doors to drinkers and diners in the city centre early next month.

Bookings are now live for the High Street venue, which will be open every day of the week serving drinks, light bites and coffee from Wednesday, October 4.

Oxford’s newest bar, which is opening on the corner of the High Street and King Edward Street, will have one of the city’s largest wine lists and will welcome local residents, students and visitors to the city.

Guests will be able to choose from more than 200 different wines from all around the world as well as an array of beers, spirits, soft drinks and tapas.

Following an extensive renovation and refurbishment, the venue has been transformed into a relaxed space spread across two floors.

Oxford Mail: Inside Oxford Wine CellarThe ground floor will accommodate a large bar and seating area while the basement has become a wine cellar where guests can enjoy a more intimate drinking and dining experience.

George Sandbach, director of Oxford Wine Group, said: “We’ve been waiting for this day to come for some time now and we can’t wait to open our doors in the city centre.

"We’ve been working around the clock to transform the venue into a unique and exciting space and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.

“We hope The Oxford Wine Cellar will become a go-to destination for people in the city centre to enjoy a glass of wine with friends, family and colleagues.

The Oxford Wine Cellar is the latest addition to the family-owned Oxford Wine Group portfolio which includes the Oxford Wine Company, the Oxford Wine Café, Sandy’s Piano Bar and Little Sandy’s in Witney.
