A popular Tibetan restaurant in Oxford has reopened its doors after a summer of touring festivals.
Taste Tibet on Magdalen Road in East Oxford welcomed customers back on Friday (September 8) after being closed in August and June.
The restaurant was recently shortlisted in the Best International or Regional Cookbook category of the Guild of Food Writers Awards.

The award ceremony took place in Mayfair, London last week and the Taste Tibet team were able to meet Matt Tebbutt from BBC One show Saturday Kitchen.
Owner Julie Kleeman said: “We absolutely love going to festivals and they went really well this year.
“We have been catering at big events since 2017 and we now know which ones work for us.
“We take the kids along too and for them it is their summer holiday.
“We are hoping that at some point we will be in a position to travel to the festivals and keep the restaurant in Oxford open at the same time.”
Taste Tibet released its own cookbook last year which shares around 80 family recipes from the Himalayas.
The restaurant opened its first fixed site in November 2020 after starting out as a food stall on Gloucester Green back in 2014.
In 2021, the street food restaurant and takeaway was nominated as one of three finalists in the BBC Food and Farming Awards.
