A home care group covering Oxfordshire has been named one of the best in the UK.

BelleVie Care Home, which works in Abingdon, Witney, Wantage, Oxford, Didcot and Wallingford, has won an award for being listed in the UK's best Small Home Care Groups for 2023.

The list was produced by the leading home care reviews site, www.homecare.co.uk, to help people find home care that is right for their needs, location and budget.

The award is based on the home care group’s reviews from the people they care for, plus their friends and relatives.

There is no ranking within the top 20 home care awards.

There are 762 home care groups and 11,848 home care providers in the UK.

Nearly a million disabled and older people receive care at home so they can stay living independently in their own homes.

This includes help with getting dressed, washed, preparing meals and drinks and administering medication.

BelleVie Care Home adopts the Buurtzorg moel, Dutch for 'neighbourhood care', which is a nurse-led model of holistic homecare that supports independent living in a community setting.
