A magic mushrooms dealer has admitted his part in selling the class A drug.

Charlie Bromley, 43, had previously denied possession with intent to supply 23.6g of the hallucinogenic fungus in Carterton in October 2021.

At a hearing in May, the court was told that Bromley accepted being involved generally in supplying the drug, but had not intended to sell the ‘shrooms’ found on him when he was stopped by the police.

He returned to Oxford Crown Court on Friday (August 18), when he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a class A drug between September 1 and October 25, 2021.

He also admitted possession of a Stanley knife.

Judge Ian Pringle KC agreed to a request from Bromley’s barrister, James Hay, for the probation service to compile a pre-sentence report.

Bromley, of Minster Road, Brize Norton, was bailed to return to court on September 29.
