The Chequers in Headington Quarry is available to purchase and has been listed on property website Rightmove for a guide price of £950,000.

The website states that the pub is a detached property with a possibility for redevelopment.

The Chequers pub has a long history in Headington Quarry and the building dates back to the 18th century.

The pub has a sunken garden which was created from a disused stone quarry.

It has been operated by the same owners for the past 15 years, who now trade five days a week and open in the evenings and weekends only.

The Chequers runs a series of events, including a festival which is due to be held in August.
