The inquest into the deaths of three teenagers killed in a crash is due to open this week as the driver remains in hospital in critical condition

The driver of a BMW that crashed into a tree killing three friends remains in a "critical but stable condition" three weeks on from the tragic accident, police have said.

Elliot Pullen, 17, Daniel Hancock, 18 and Ethan Goddard, 18 were killed in the crash in the early hours of June 20 on the A415 in Marcham.

The inquests into their deaths are scheduled to be opened on Thursday (July 13) at Oxford Coroner's Court. 

Elliot and Daniel were from Southmoor, while Ethan was from Abingdon.

The driver, named locally as Tom, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Tributes have been paid across the community with flowers, messages and well-wishes left ft at the scene and the teenager's schools.
