An investigation has been opened into the death of a 58-year-old man who was found dead at his home.  

Peter Scott, aged 58 of St Aldates in Oxford, died on Saturday, March 11 this year.

His death was verified by PC Leah Pullin that same day at around 1pm.

Mr Scott’s cause of death was given as alcohol intoxication, the inquest opening heard. 

The inquest was opened at Oxford Coroner’s Court yesterday (July 5).

The date for the conclusion of the inquest has been set as Thursday, December 14 this year which is expected to begin at 11am.

The purpose of an inquest is to investigate the circumstances of an unnatural death.
