Police have asked people to report criminal damage after an historic gravestone was vandalised.
It happened in the graveyard outside St Mary’s Church in Adderbury near Banbury.
Officers from Thames Valley Police's Rural Crime Taskforce are investigating.
Anyone who witnesses anybody causing criminal damage or behaving suspiciously should report it by calling 101.
If a crime is in progress, they should call 999.
