A one-out-of-five star rating means that 'major improvement' is needed at the establishment.
The pub recently announced it was taken over by new management on June 2.
Inspectors assessed levels of hygienic food handling, cleanliness and the condition of the building and the management of food safety during the inspections.
It means that of the Vale of White Horse's 112 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 69 (62 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
