I see that some police forces are taking cars off the road because they can't afford the petrol.
Can we expect to see more bobbies wandering about on foot as a result? I very much doubt it.
How long will it be before detectives arriving at a crime scene say: "Sorry for the delay, Sir, the number seven bus had a puncture."
