Ethan’s girlfriend Amber left an emotional tribute for him at the scene of the crash on Wednesday evening.

Oxford Mail:

She wrote: “Ethan, you were the kindest, loving and caring person I’ve ever met.

“Over the last two to three years, you’ve made me the happiest I’ve ever been.

“I adored being your girlfriend.

“I’ll love you forever.

“I love you, Ethan.”

A framed photo, a Liverpool football shirt and a bottle of Disaronno were also left as tributes poured in when the road reopened.

A single croc footwear was also among the items left amid a sea of flowers next to the tree which the car hit.

The A415 in Marcham was closed for much of yesterday while the police carried out further investigations.

The road reopened briefly on Tuesday but was shut by police that evening.

Officers have not confirmed why the road closures were enacted in this way.

Oxford Mail:

This morning, Ethan’s family also paid tribute to him.

They said: “Ethan was known to all his family and friends as a kind, generous, caring, always thinking of others, young man, with a great sense of humour.

“He was a very loving son, protective brother, caring grandson, much-loved nephew, kindest boyfriend and loyal friend.

“Ethan was very passionate about the things he loved. He was hard-working, enjoyed his part-time job, while studying engineering at college.

“He loved his co-workers.

“As a child, Ethan had a passion for scooters and then mountain bikes, progressing on to dirt bikes and then cars.

“We couldn’t be more proud of the fine young man he was turning into.

Oxford Mail:

“We will always love him and he will be missed by many, not just us.

“Our thoughts are with all the other families and friends at this extremely sad time and our hearts go out to you all.”
