An Oxfordshire Costa Coffee was unable to open this morning after travellers pitched up in its car park.

Travellers arrived at the Costa Coffee at Milton Interchange yesterday evening, according to eyewitnesses, and remained in the car park this morning.

The popular coffee chain was therefore unable to open at 5.30am and was closed throughout the morning.

Staff were able to reopen the store at around 11am after the travellers left the car park, workers have said.

Milton Interchange is positioned at the junction of the A34 and A4130 which is a key route for traffic entering Oxford.

The Oxford Mail has approached Oxfordshire County Council, Thames Valley Police and Costa Coffee for comment.
