A Pizza Hut in Banbury has been given a new food hygiene rating.

Pizza Hut’s takeaway on 67 Calthorpe Street was rated by a food hygiene inspector on June 19.

The pizza takeaway was given a score of four out of five, the Food Standards Agency states.

Food hygiene inspections result in a food safety officer judging restaurants based on the following categories: hygienic food handling, cleanliness, condition of facilities and building and management of food safety.

For these categories Pizza Hut was given the following ratings:

  • Hygienic food handling: Generally satisfactory
  • Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building: Generally Satisfactory
  • Management of food safety: Very good

Pizza Hut also has another restaurant in Banbury which is located at the Banbury Cross retails park and this was given a score of five on February 13.
