A man from Oxford has been charged after a vehicle crashed and flipped onto its side in a residential road in Blackbird Leys.

Rafal Przesniak, 39, of Rivermead Close, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen following the crash in Field Avenue yesterday (June 17).

He is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court tomorrow (June 19).

Another man, 41, also from Oxford, has been released under investigation for drink-driving.

Oxford Mail: The black Ford overturned in Field Avenue in Blackbird Leys

Thames Valley Police were called to the incident at 12.39pm yesterday as a black Ford was left on its side in the middle of the road.

An eyewitness told the Oxford Mail that many householders were alerted to the sound of the crash and stood outside their homes to watch the commotion and police presence.

She added: "The car landed on its side"
