A 30-year-old man who was pinned to the ground by police outside a busy Oxford shopping centre was carrying a 'bladed article'.
The man was arrested at 11.39am outside Templars Square shopping centre in Cowley on suspicion of making threats and possession of a 'bladed article'.
At least three police vehicle and six officers attended the incident, which took place at the entrance to the shopping centre off Between Towns Road.

Pictures show three of the officers holding the man to the ground while shoppers carrying supermarket shopping bags walked past.
A witness said the man was then loaded into a police van.
He is now in police custody.
