The Met Office has issued another yellow weather warning across Oxfordshire as thunderstorms look set to hit again.
The warning is in place from midday to 9pm and says that "thunderstorms and torrential downpours may bring disruption" to the affected areas.
Temperatures today are forecasted to peak at around 2pm in Oxfordshire, reaching around 25C.
The Met Office has said that the following should be expected:
- Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds
- Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Some communities might become cut off if roads flood
- Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services
- Power cuts might occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost
- Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life
The UK has seen a mixed bag of weather conditions in the past few days with thunderstorms hitting some parts of the UK while others have sweltered in temperatures above 30C.
The UK recorded its hottest day of the year on Saturday with temperatures reaching 32.2C in Surrey.
