The inquests of two men struck by trains in Oxfordshire have been opened by the county’s coroner.
The men died within two days of each other last month.
Oxford Coroner’s Court heard that Kelyth Ross, 38, of Northleach, near Cheltenham, died at Didcot Parkway railway station on May 19, having been struck by a train.
His death was verified by a police sergeant at 1.18pm.
Mr Ross' cause of death following a post-mortem examination was given as multiple injuries.
A full inquest will take place on September 28.
He was a regional director for construction firm Hoare Lea. In a tribute, the company described Mr Ross as a ‘wonderful human being, the best of colleagues, and as big in character as he was in stature’.
Computer analyst Stephen Richens, 48, of Hampden Drive, Kidlington, died at a level crossing west of the town on May 18, having been struck by a train.
His death was verified by a paramedic at 12.22pm.
The coroner gave his cause of death, following a post-mortem, as multiple injuries.
A full inquest is expected to take place on November 9.
