Dr Daniel Emlyn-Jones from Oxford has written a letter about a proposed change from LTN barriers to ANPR cameras.
There is to be an 'East Oxford low traffic neighbourhoods six-week consultation and proposed changes' from June 5 to July 17.
In the information provided by Oxfordshire County Council as a preamble to this survery, the proposed change for the Divinity Road LTN area, where I live, is from bollards (a physical barrier) to ANPR cameras.
Furthermore, it says that 'ANPR is being proposed as a result of ongoing engagement with the emergency services'.

I take this to mean that the emergency services want ANPR cameras for the Divinity Road area, and this being so, no further consultation is required.
ANPR cameras the Divinity Road Area must have!
It is I think self evident that the needs of the emergency services have highest priority in these considerations and trump all else.
