A Kebab restaurant in Bicester has been handed a new low hygiene rating.

The Bosphorus at Unit E1 Bicester Shopping Park on Kelso Road was given a two-out-of-five star score after an assessment on April 26.

The rating suggests that improvement is necessary in food hygiene standards at the establishment.

The inspectors judged the restaurant with regard to hygienic food handing, cleanliness and the condition of facilities and management of food safety.

The Bosphorous describes itself as a 'fine dining experience' and 'the best table in town.'

Kebabs are priced upwards of £16.95.

The new score means that of Cherwell's 197 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 151 have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
