A dedicated football coach has partnered with his team’s sponsor to provide his players with financial literacy lessons.
“I don’t want my players to make the wrong life decisions early on”, said Kevin Hook, the U17s manager at Bure Park FC, based in Bicester.

Mr Hook reached out to the team’s sponsor, Pam Brown Mortgages, a financial advisory firm in Bicester, to give lessons in credit management to his players.
He said: “I have been coaching some of these players since they were six years old, and now that they’re turning 18, I want to make sure they have a basic financial knowledge, of things like credit.”
Mr Hook, an account director at Microsoft, also secured a space at the new David Lloyd gym in Bicester, to host a session of high intensity fitness followed by a financial literacy lesson for his players.
