The family of a woman who died in a fatal crash on the M40 near Oxfordshire have paid tribute to her.

Alisha Saeed, aged 23 from Croydon lost her life after a crash on the motorway between junction two and three at Beaconsfield.

She was a passenger in a blue VW Golf on the M40 near Beaconsfield, which was involved in a crash with a Ford Transit at around noon on Monday (May 22).

Her family described Alisha as "a kind-hearted angel" who "lit up every room she entered". 

A tribute, signed by Saima, Jan, and family, said: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of our beloved daughter and sister, Alisha Saeed.

“Alisha was more than just a daughter and sister; she was a kind-hearted angel who brought joy and happiness to everyone she met.

"Her infectious smile and warm personality lit up every room she entered, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

“The loss of Alisha is immeasurable. She was taken from us far too soon, but her memory will live on forever in our hearts.

"We are not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it is impossible to imagine life without Alisha.

"We will always cherish the moments we shared with Alisha and the impact she had on our lives.

"She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly, reminding us to live each day with kindness, love, and compassion.

"Rest in peace, dear Alisha, and know that you will never be forgotten.”

Following the crash, the police arrested a 35-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, all from Carshalton, Surrey on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 20-year-old woman has now been released under investigation, and the two others have been released on bail, a Thames Valley Police spokeswoman confirmed.

A fourth person, a man, aged 23, from Mitcham in Surrey, has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail until August 21.

Sergeant Ed Crofts of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “I am appealing to anybody that witnessed this collision, or who may have dash-cam footage of the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police."
