The street where a boy was stabbed in the leg last night had been combed by cops following a possible shooting three and a half weeks earlier.
Leon Close was cordoned off by police on Wednesday evening following reports of a 16-year-old boy having been stabbed in the leg by a ski-masked assailant.
The incident is not believed to be connected to the discovery of bullet casings in the cul-de-sac on May 1.
Police had been called at around 5.30am on May Day to reports of a group being in possession of a firearm on Cowley Road.
Three men, all in their 20s and from Oxford, who were arrested in connection with the incident remain on police bail.
A fourth man, 26-year-old Yasin Hamid, of Pound Way, Oxford, will appear before the crown court next month facing an allegation of possession of a firearm.
