Bicester Heritage’s 10-year anniversary will be celebrated at the business centre’s motoring event.

Founded in 2013, Bicester Heritage is a business park dedicated to historic motoring.

The business park, based on the former RAF Bicester site, now has over 45 specialist businesses.

Celebrating its 10th year in business, its Flywheel event will return for the first time since 2018 for a festival of automotive and aviation.

At the event, on June 17 and 18, there will be live automotive displays, motoring marques and vintage flight showcases.

This will include the sole surviving Bristol Blenheim Bomber and a Spitfire I, commemorating the site’s heritage as a WW2 RAF bomber training station.

The weekend will also see the launch of a partnership with Footman James who will be the sector-exclusive insurance partner for the business park dedicated to historic motoring.

Founded in 1983, Footman James has over 40 years of experience in providing specialist insurance for owners, collectors and professionals within the classic vehicle market covering vehicles from the rarest classics, replica and kit cars to classic motorcycles.

The insurer now of over 80,000 policyholders and a team of over 100 within its customer service department.

The new partnership will see Footman James attend events throughout the former WW2 RAF Bomber Station’s event calendar, including the scramble open days.

Bicester Heritage has become a national visitor attraction, with regular classic car events drawing in more than 7,000 visitors each time.

The site also hosted Tuff Nutterz, the UK’s largest bouncy obstacle course – a 300 metre inflatable maze – during April, with around 5,000 guests enjoying the course.

In July, the site will also host the world’s largest vegan camping festival, Vegan Camp Out, with singer-songwriter Sam Ryder and comedian Romesh Ranganathan among the confirmed line-up.
