Children and parents at a school in Abingdon enjoyed Coronation celebrations worthy of a royal.

Staff, children and families all came together at Rushcommon Preschool last week to celebrate the King’s Coronation with afternoon tea, lots of cake, and coronation-themed activities like crown-making and posing on homemade thrones.

Cassie Ambrosini, preschool manager, said: “It was a wonderful afternoon full of fun and cake, the children just love it when their families come in to join them.”

The preschool, located in the church hall of All Saints Methodist Church, was given an Ofsted rating of ‘good’ in its last inspection.

An elected volunteer committee, mostly parents, manages the preschool, supporting a full time employed preschool manager who oversees the day to day running and staff management.
