A warrant has been issued for a man accused of stealing an ‘antique gun’ during a burglary on an octogenarian’s home.
Darnel McKail, 26, of West Bromwich, was due before Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday morning (May 2), facing a count of dwelling house burglary.
When he failed to attend, Recorder Alexander McGregor issued a warrant for his arrest not backed for bail. It means that the police must bring him before the next sitting of the court if they arrest him on the warrant.
Prosecutors claim McKail stole a gun worth £650 during a burglary on a house in Moor Avenue, Witney, last August. The allegation is denied.
