Although the weather in April was slightly underwhelming, yesterday (April 30) and Saturday (April 29) saw bright sunny spells.

People across Oxfordshire will today be looking to enjoy the long bank holiday weekend.  

Unfortunately, some may be disappointed with the latest forecast with damp, rainy conditions expected.

But some sunshine is also forecast across the county.

The headline on the Met Office website for London and the South East England is: “Early low cloud and mist patches soon clearing.

“Sunny spells developing, allowing heavy showers and thunderstorms, with hail risk, to break out in the afternoon.

“Showers easing by evening. Warm.

“Maximum temperature 18 °C.”

Here is a breakdown of the forecast across the county for this bank holiday Monday according to the Met Office.

Oxford

 

10am-2pm: Cloudy and overcast before changing to sunny spells and showers. Highs of 16C

2pm-6pm: Cloudy before changing to sunny spells at around 5pm. Highs of 15C.

6pm-8pm: Cloudy and sunny intervals before changing to sunshine. Highs of 16C.

Didcot

 

10am-2pm: Cloudy with sunny spells before changing to light showers around lunchtime. Highs of 16C.

2pm-6pm: Sunny spells and showers. Highs of 17C.

6pm-8pm: Cloudy with sunny spells before changing to sunshine at around 7pm. Highs of 16C.

Bicester:

 

10am- 2pm: Light showers before changing to full sunshine and then cloudy conditions. Highs of 16C.

2pm-6pm: Cloudy before turning to cloudy with sunny spells. Highs of 17C.

6pm-8pm: Sunshine. Highs of 16C.

Abingdon on Thames

 

10am-2pm: Cloudy conditions with highs of 16C.

2pm-6pm: Sunny spells before turning to sunny spells and showers. Highs of 17C.

6pm-8pm: Cloudy with sunny spells. Highs of 17C.
