A boy accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in a Kidlington park will stand trial next year.
The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, appeared before Oxford Crown Court on Friday (April 28).
He pleaded not guilty to rape of a child under-13 in June 2021. Prosecutors say he sexually assaulted the girl in Exeter park in Kidlington.
Judge Maria Lamb set down a number of directions for the boy’s trial, which she fixed to begin on February 19 next year.
The defendant, who was represented by Peter du Feu, was granted bail. Alexandra Bull appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service.
