A hot tub thief also shoplifted bubbly in an eight month spree targeting B&Q, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda.
Andrew Silver, 40, currently of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to eight counts of theft when he appeared before Oxford Magistrates’ Court this week (April 25).

In an effort to wipe the slate clean, the prolific shoplifter also asked the justices to take into account a further 11 thefts of alcohol, perfume and groceries from Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
He stole his first ‘Lazy Spa’ hot tub from Witney B&Q on August 18 last year, taking the second two months ago in February.
Between last August and March this year, he also stole music speakers, sparkling wine, detergent and kitchen cupboard staples like cooking oil.
The magistrates adjourned sentencing until May 4.
Ann Sawyer-Brandish appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service and Shirley Selby represented Silver, who was remanded in custody.
