At last year's local elections the Conservatives lost control of the council for the first time in 22 years.
The authority's long-serving deputy leader David Harvey lost his seat to Labour’s Ruth Smith and the cabinet member for housing and communities Merilyn Davies lost to the Liberal Democrat Lidia Arciszewska.
The Conservatives lost the authority to no overall control and they won four of the 16 seats available.
The Lib Dems won eight, Labour three and the Greens one.
The split of councillors by party following the election was Conservative 20; Liberal Democrats 15; Labour/Labour and Co-operative 9; Independent 3 and Green Party 2.
The Liberal Democrat, Labour and Green groups agreed to form a new administration - the West Oxfordshire Alliance.
A third of West Oxfordshire District Council is up for election on May 4.
