John Macallister has written a letter to outline his concerns about traffic around Oxford United's new stadium in Kidlington.

The main problem with all the proposals so far for a new stadium in or near Kidlington is that the traffic and parking problems have not been adequately addressed.

Kidlington already suffers severe traffic and parking problems from traffic incidents nearby as well as from nearby events.

The transport infrastructure cannot cope with the sudden influx of traffic and transport on match days.

People will always take the easiest route for themselves which will be to drive to and park in Kidlington.

There is insufficient parking for residents without a regular influx when events occur at the stadium. Events at Blenheim Palace, the airport, etc already cause chaos.

Oxford Mail:

Even popular events in Kidlington can cause disruption. The transport infrastructure is already inadequate.

The last thing the village needs is another source of regular chaos.

A site off the southern Oxford bypass would be more sensible for everybody.

I have been to many enjoyable matches and events at OUFC and have even walked all the way there to and from Kidlington.
