THOMAS ZEALAND, 40, of Keresley End, Coventry, changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving a silver Audi A6 on the A34 southbound near Hinksey while over the drug driving limit for benzoylecgonine, the substance created by the body when it breaks down cocaine. Zealand was stopped last September. He was fined £275, banned from driving for 15 months and must pay £195 in costs and surcharge.

RICHARD FOX, 47, of Thorney Leys, Witney, admitted driving a Range Rover on Mountfield Road, Witney, while over the drink drive limit, disqualified from driving and uninsured. Fox was stopped on January 15, when tests showed he had 81mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath; more than twice the legal drink driving limit of 35mcgs. The magistrates imposed a community order with 100 hours of unpaid work and 21 rehabilitation activity requirement days, banned him from driving for 42 months and ordered he pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

JORDYN BETNAY, 26, of Benouville Close, Oxford, pleaded guilty to possession of a knuckleduster and cannabis. Both items were found at his home on January 16. He was fined £600 and must pay £205 in costs and surcharge.

LUKE WEST, 21, of Nash Road, Upper Heyford, pleaded guilty to driving a Lexmoto Diablo 125cc motorcycle on Middleton Stoney Road, Bicester, while over the drink drive limit. He was only narrowly above the limit, with blood tests showing he had 80mlgs of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80. He was fined £120, banned from the roads for a year and must pay £133 in costs and surcharge.

REHMAT RAHMAN, 19, of Cavendish Drive, Marston, admitted failing to stop for police, driving without a valid licence and driving without insurance. He was behind the wheel of a BMW 1 series on Marston Road on Halloween last year when he failed to stop for the police. The magistrates fined him £240 and banned him from driving for six months. He must also pay £85 in costs and a £48 victim surcharge.

MICHAEL JENNINGS, 32, of Hazel Road, Huyton, appeared in front of the Oxford magistrates on a warrant issued by a court in Warrington. He pleaded guilty to damaging NHS property in Cheshire and using threatening behaviour. He also admitted failing to surrender to the magistrates in Warrington. He was given a total sentence of 23 weeks’ imprisonment, with the bench citing Jennings’ ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’ and the ‘unprovoked’ nature of the attack in January this year. He must pay £100 in compensation to the man he threatened.

TIMOTHY JOHNSON, 38, of Cotswold Meadow, Witney, pleaded guilty to drink driving a blue Mazda 6 on Thorney Leys, Witney, in January. Tests showed he was more than three and a half times the limit, blowing 119mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35. He was fined £1,440, given a community order with 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and banned from the roads for 28 months. He must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

MICHAEL WRIGHT, 63, of Church Street, Shellingford, admitted drink driving a VW Passat in Cottage Road, Stanford in the Vale, on January 16. Breathalyser tests showed he was double the legal drink driving limit, blowing 71mcgs of alcohol. He was fined £450, banned from the roads for a year and a half and must pay £265 in costs and surcharge.
