A list of candidates running for district and parish council elections in May has been released.

All 15 seats on Bicester Town Council (BTC) are up for election, as well as one third of seats on Cherwell District Council (CDC); one seat per ward.

For BTC, three seats are up for election from east ward, and four from north ward, south ward and west ward, respectively.

Running for east ward, and standing for the Conservative Party are Sandy Dallimore, Donna Ford and Sam Holland.

For the Green Party Tom Beckett will stand, for the Lib Dems Matthew Launchbury, as an independent, Robert Peckham, and for Labour, Jane Clements.

For north ward, the Conservative candidates are James Ford, Nick Mawer, Jason Slaymaker, and Alex Thrupp.

Standing for the Lib Dems are Rachel Mallows, Rich Oliver, Paul Wheatley and Edward Willett.

For Labour Arjun Bais will stand.

Three liberal democrat candidates will stand for Bicester’s south ward, they are Nick Cotter, Jamie Jessett and Christopher Pruden.

Dan Sames and Sammy Omotayo will stand for the Conservatives, Damien Maguire for the Greens and Robert Nixon for Labour.

For west ward, four independent candidates will run, they are Dan Hallett, Harry Knight, Les Sibley and Jim Webb.

For Lib Dems Martin Chadwick will stand, and for Labour Christopher Howells.

The district councillors whose Bicester seats are up for election are Richard Mould, Bicester East, Jason Slaymaker, Bicester North and Caversfield, Nick Cotter, Bicester South and Ambrosden and Fraser Webster, Bicester West.

Tom Beckett is standing as the Green Party candidate for Bicester East, with Jane Clements running for the Labour Party and Sam Holland for the Conservatives.

For Bicester North and Caversfield Arjun Bais is standing for Labour, Simon Lytton for Lib Dems and Jason Slaymaker for the Conservatives.

Nick Cotter will stand as the Lib Dem candidate for Bicester South and Ambrosden, Robert Nixon will stand as the Labour candidate and Sammy Omotayo as Conservative candidate.

And for Bicester West, Martin Chadwick will stand as the Lib Dem candidate, Christopher Howells for Labour, Harry Knight as an independent, Damien Maguire for Greens and Alex Thrupp for the Conservatives.

Parish council seats are also up for election in Upper Heyford, Lower Heyford, Middleton Stoney, Heyford Park and Fritwell.

There are six seats up for election in Upper Heyford, and seven in Lower Heyford, Middleton Stoney, Heyford Park and Fritwell, respectively.

In addition to the scheduled parishes, three parish councils, Ambrosden, Blackthorn and Launton, have had their elections brought forward as a result of boundary changes due to the recent community governance review.
