Emergency services were called to the M40 last night after a crash involving three cars and a lorry.

Firefighters and ambulance crews were called to the scene on the southbound carriageway between junction 10 at Ardley and junction nine at Bicester at 11.06pm.

A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said several people were initially trapped in the wreckage but all had been freed by the time firefighters arrived.

Paramedics treated four people for minor injuries.
