A man who egged his nextdoor neighbour’s home as part of course of unpleasant harassment has been ordered to do community service.
Matthew Bowles, 41, threw what was described as an ‘object’ at a family’s home in Balfour Road, Blackbird Leys, on May 22 last year.
On July 28, he blew cigarette smoke over their fence ‘in a deliberate manner’ and, later, ‘shouted hello repeatedly and threw small objects at the house’.

He was said to have thrown an egg at the property and said that if the garden smelled of ‘your cooking I am going to smash your place in’.
He also admitted damaging a wall and floor belonging to the family on July 28.
Appearing before Oxford Magistrates’ Court earlier this month, Bowles, of Balfour Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to harassment and criminal damage.
He received 40 hours of unpaid work and must do up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions as part of a community order.
A restraining order bans him from going to his victims’ home in Balfour Road or contacting the family until March 13 next year.
The magistrates also ordered he pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £114 victim surcharge.
