A £100 prize is available to whoever can suggest the best name for a new retirement complex in the centre of Didcot.

Churchill Retirement Living has invited the suggestions for its new development on Foxhall Road, which will see the long-term vacant former petrol station regenerated.

They reminded entrants that Churchill’s developments always end in “Lodge.”

The winner of the competition, which closes on March 31, will also have their name appear on the development and related marketing literature.

The new development will feature privately-owned one and two bedroom apartments in landscaped grounds.

There will also be a communal owners’ lounge, a guest suite, a lodge manager, and a 24 hour emergency call alarm service.

Caroline Haswell, Churchill’s senior marketing manager, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing our new development to Didcot and have already seen lots of interest from local over 60s keen to discover the benefits of the independent retirement living lifestyle.

“Anyone interested in finding out more about the new development can register their interest now for updates and be among the first to find out when the apartments will be released for sale.”

Entrants are invited to send their suggested name and the reason for it, along with their name, address and phone number, to: Freepost, CHURCHILL RETIREMENT LIVING, or by email to caroline.haswell@crl.co.uk.
