Boy ‘Z’ will have to wait a further day to return to the witness box, after a juror in his trial for attempted murder fell sick.
Judge Michael Gledhill KC told the remaining 11 jurors at Oxford Crown Court that the poorly juror hoped to return on Thursday.
"We can't predict these things. We just have to make the best of it when these sorts of situations arise," he said.
The judge said the case would resume at 10.30am tomorrow (Thursday, March 22).
On Tuesday, one of the three defendants accused of involvement in what prosecutors said was an attack 'as quick as it was ferocious' in People’s Park, Banbury, last June began giving evidence.
Under questioning from his barrister, Peter Doyle KC, he said he had previously punched the alleged stabbing victim in the face after he pestered him for cannabis.
Three teen boys deny attempted murder and wounding with intent. The trial continues.
