CARL BLEACH, 32, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing two bicycles in Banbury last summer. He was jailed for eight weeks, with the court record noting that Bleach said in open court that he would not comply with any community order. He was sentenced without the probation service compiling a pre-sentence report. He must pay £100 in compensation to each victim.

TOM MORGAN, 24, of Ramsgate, Kent, admitted possession of cannabis in Oxford. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £245 in costs and surcharge.

TYIRIE ALLEN, 24, of Furlong Close, Oxford, pleaded guilty to joint possession of almost 300g of cannabis in Pony Road, Oxford, last December. He was ordered to do 70 hours of unpaid work and up to 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. The magistrates’ imposed a £114 victim surcharge, a payment that goes to fund facilities for victims of crime.

WILLIAM CARSON, 41, of St Leonards Road, Oxford, admitted stealing £110-worth of items from the Co-op in December and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on the same date with intent to cause a man to fear that violence would he used against him. He was fined £193 and ordered to pay total compensation of £150.

DANIEL WEBB, 38, of Wear Road, Bicester, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating him in Chinnor on July 7 last year. He must pay £50 in compensation and prosecution costs of £85.

CONNOR FLOWER, 27, of Sidcup, Bexley, pleaded guilty to drink driving. Tests showed that he had 60mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath after he was caught driving a grey Ford Focus on Station Road, Didcot, last October. The legal drink-drive limit is 35mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Flower was fined £600, banned from driving for 16 months and ordered to pay £340 in costs and surcharge.

ALASTAIR CLARK-ROYAL, 45, of West Street, Banbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating him in June last year. The assault took place in Bretch Hill. The court record notes that Clark-Royal pleaded guilty on the basis that he accepted ‘punch and threats’. He was ordered to pay £250 in compensation to his victim and must complete 60 hours of unpaid work. The bench also ordered he pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £114.

NEIL LITT, 42, of Clements Way, Faringdon, admitted drink driving, driving without insurance and without a valid licence. Tests showed he had 195mlg of alcohol in 100ml of blood – a little over twice the legal limit – after he was caught behind the wheel of a Ford Transit tipper truck in Park Road, Faringdon, last June. He was fined £550, banned from the roads for three years and must pay £305 in costs and surcharge.

KARM SURAINA, 59, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Mercedes on the Abingdon Road last July. Tests showed the driver had 46mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, whereas the limit is 35mcgs. Suraina was banned from driving for three years, fined £400 and ordered to pay £245 in costs and surcharge.

ARCHIE OSBORNE, 20, of Milcombe, near Banbury, admitted drink driving an Audi A3 on the A415 in Burcot last December. Tests showed he had 52mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £150, banned from driving for a year and must pay £145 in costs and surcharge.
