A new survey has been launched in Wantage and Didcot to allow locals to have their say about the improvements that they think are needed in local health services.

Set up by David Johnston MP, the aim ‘Health Services Survey’ is to get data about what health services local people need more to show the local and national decision-makers.

Since the MP was elected, hundreds of local residents have been in touch with him to share their concerns about the availability of health services locally, particularly the lack of new GP surgeries for the growing population.

Johnston has campaigned on this extensively throughout his time in Parliament, having raised it in 19 separate debates, including several times with the Prime Minister and the Housing Minister.

The overall findings will be shared in Parliament, with the NHS and with the Council.

He said: “I’m really excited to be launching my new health services survey. This is something I have been campaigning on since I was elected as we do not have enough local health services for our population.

"Wherever you live in the constituency and no matter who you vote for, please take five minutes to fill in my survey so that we can send a strong message and work to secure the health services we need”.

The survey is 8 questions and takes 5 minutes. To fill in the survey, go to www.david-johnston.org.uk/health. It closes on April 17.
