A major Oxford city centre road was closed last night, Thursday, March 9, by police at around 8.45pm.
St Aldates was shut in both directions from Queen Street to Speedwell Street.
Stagecoach buses tweeted that due to a police incident they were unable to service these locations.
The Oxford Mail contacted Thames Valley Police for comment on why the road in the city centre was closed.

Police explained that a bus had broken down and officers shut the road to manage the incident.
