A Blackbird Leys woman has appeared before a court accused of disseminating ‘terrorist publications’ online.
Roma Iqbal, 22, of Kestrel Crescent, Oxford, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (March 6) charged with three offences under the Terrorism Act.

Prosecutors claim that in October and December 2021 she ‘transmitted the contents of a terrorist publication electronically’ or enabled others to ‘obtain, read, listen or look at a terrorist publication’.
Counter Terrorism Policing South East said last month that the charges related to ‘Islamist terrorism offences’.
Iqbal’s case was before Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
Administrative staff said she entered no plea and was bailed to appear before the Old Bailey on March 17 for a trial preparation hearing.
