Twelve candidates including two Miss Great Britain beauty contest finalists, a Raving Loony, a teddy bear and a representative of the BNP will battle to wear the mantle of Boris Johnson and become MP for south Oxfordshire.

They are all standing in the by-election on June 26 instigated by the resignation of Mr Johnson who quit after he became Mayor of London.

Louise Cole and Amanda Harrington have both been finalists in the Miss Great Britain beauty contest and are standing as independents.

The candidates are:

  • Timothy Sylvester Rait (British National Party)
  • Richard Rogers (Common Good)
  • Mark Christopher Stevenson (Green Party)
