When it comes to traditional British cuisine, nothing beats fish and chips for dinner and we’re not short of takeaway options in Oxfordshire.
There are numerous great 'chippys' across the county serving the very best crispy battered fish and tasty chips alongside it.
So we asked our readers on Facebook to tell us the best chip shops in Oxford.

Alices Fish and Chips, Atkyns Road, Headington
Paula Tappin said: "Alice's Fish & Chips in Woodfarm, are really good."
Sherko Zen-Aloush added its an "absolute little gem of a chip shop!" whilst Frances Knight its "definitely" the best as she "loves the fish there" and it has "such friendly staff"
Gillian Ann Richardson said it's "brilliant" while Jahfer Rashid Gulli added it's "really good".
Posh Fish, London Road, Headington
Steve Patrick thinks Posh Fish is "100 per cent the best" as Michael Quilty said when he lived in Oxford it "was and is the best".
Masden Biggy Prosper who lives three minutes away said "it's the best" whilst Justin Jake agreed "definitely".
Mediterranean Marston, Cherwell Drive, Marston
Tina Pledge believes that Mediterranean Fish Bar is "100 per cent" the best and Eleni Fragkouli said it is the "real deal".
When asked the question Susan Bastable said "every time been going there for years!"

Jonathan Whyte said Harrisons is the best "by a country mile."
Jessica Crumpton added it's "fantastic, especially on gluten-free night."
The fish shop replied to this by saying "we do a Gluten Free day, every last Monday of the Month, the oil is replaced and the pans deep cleaned on Sunday and we only fry gluten-free products in our fryer on the Monday."
