A MAN who has been charged for hospitalising a boy after assaulting him with an imitation firearm has been named.

Carl Douglas, 42, of Belgrove Close, Kidlington was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and one count of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear.

A 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy from Oxfordshire, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were also charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

Police are now appealing for witnesses of the incident which happened at about 3.20pm on Thursday (January 26) at the junction of Bicester Road and the A4260, opposite the car wash on Thursday.
