Clarkson's Farm on Amazon: First-look pictures of new series

And the second series of the hit show will focus heavily on Mr Clarkson's long-running planning disputes with West Oxfordshire District Council.

The broadcaster is currently appealing against the enforcement notice served on his farm, Diddly Squat, after he was ordered to shut down his restaurant and cafe less than three months after saying he had found a planning loophole that would allow them to open.

The new series also shows Mr Clarkson trying to win over his neighbours in Chadlington after friction over expansion of the site and traffic problems caused by the popularity of the farm shop after the first series became a huge hit.

The same team features in the new season which follows another full year it the life of the farm.

Kaleb is still on hand to show Jeremy How to Actually Run a Farm, Lisa’s running the shop, Charlie’s delivering more brutal home truths, and Gerald’s still Head of Security, with his own unique way of expressing himself.

The show covers how, facing the impact of Brexit and the impending loss of subsidies, Mr Clarkson works up big plans to diversify with a herd of cows and a lot more chickens.

He also wants his own restaurant where he can serve up a menu entirely made up of Diddly Squat produce, with the ambition of increasing his annual profit from the previous year (£144).

The show covers Mr Clarkson's appearance with his land agent Charlie Ireland at the planning meeting in Witney where the council decision on the restaurant was made.

And a later episode deals with the fall-out from the council's decision when Mr Ireland sets out to find a legal team for Mr Clarkson's appeal.

Later in the series, having received a planning enforcement notice about what is sold in the shop Mr Clarkson loses patience and decides that he must resort to loopholes.

He does not want the council to find out he is opening a restaurant until just before it opens and so he and Kaleb are filmed laying pipes for water and electrics across a field in the dead of night.

The final episode is filmed two days until Restaurant Opening Day when Mr Clarkson informs the council - and it’s game on.

Clarkson’s Farm Series 2 will launch on 10 February on Prime Video.
