MOBILE phone firm O2 has been granted permission to build a phone mast behind the Sainsbury's Local shop, in London Road, Headington.
Planners gave permission for panel antennae, radio equipment and associated cabling.
It is thought this is partly to replace a mast that will be lost on the Oxford Brookes University campus in Gipsy Lane through development.
