New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Oxfordshire’s fast food outlets, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Burger King and KFC at Oxford's M40 services have recently been inspected.

Burger King at Welcome Break Oxford on Thame Road, Waterstock, was handed a four-out-of-five rating after an assessment on November 18.

And KFC at Welcome Break Oxford, also on Thame Road, Waterstock, was also given a score of four on November 18.

A rating of 4 means that the business was rated as good and the business scored a total of 20 points.

In this situation the business will have good food hygiene practices and safety systems, with only a few minor areas for improvement.

It means that of South Oxfordshire's 278 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 142 (51%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
