Two teenagers have been assaulted by a man whilst waiting at a bus stop.

At around 3.40pm on Wednesday, December 14, two teenage boys were waiting for the bus outside Larkmead School on Faringdon Road, Abingdon.

Despite being room on the pavement, a man walked into one of the boys and barged him, telling him to get out of the way.

The offender then punched the boy in the face and chest.

The boy’s friend attempted to get the offender to stop, and was then pushed into a bush.

The boy who was punched received minor scratches and red marks.

The offender continued on his way walking towards Dalton Barracks.

He is described as being white, aged 18 to 25, around 5ft 9 to 6 feet tall, average build, with short brown hair.

He was wearing a dark grey or black puffer jacket, black trousers and either boots or trainers and carrying a Tesco branded carrier bag.

Investigating officer, PC Matthew Osborne based at Abingdon police station, said: “We are investigating this assault which was completely unprovoked.

“We would ask anyone who has witness information or may have dash-cam footage or CCTV of the incident to please come forward.
