Alfie the psychic alpaca has made his prediction for England v France.

The 'psychic' alpaca who has been predicting the outcome of games in the World Cup has been asked to pronounce on how England will fare against France this weekend.

Furry football pundit Alfie, who lives at Fairytale Farm near Chipping Norton, has been choosing flags on feeding stations to indicate who will win each match.

The prediction took place at 10am on Wednesday December 7 at the children's activity farm.

Alfie became world famous in the Group stages of the World Cup, when he attempted to predict the results of Group B, which included England, Wales, USA and Iran.

Fairytale Farm (and Alfie) owner Nick Laister said: "Alfie's predictions got a lot of attention across the world, with news stories as far away as Indonesia and Vietnam. He also made a number of live TV appearances, including on ITV's This Morning.

"At first, it appeared that some of his predictions might have been wrong, but then we worked out what he was doing.

"He correctly predicted that England and the USA would progress from the group stages to the knockout stage, and that Wales and Iran would go home.

"We were all amazed that he got this right, which is a truly incredible achievement. We are therefore confident that Alfie knows what he is doing."

Alfie made his prediction for Saturday's big event on a cold Wednesday morning in sub-zero temperatures at Fairytale Farm, caught on camera.

Nick revealed the result: "I am pleased to say that Alfie has predicted that England will win on Saturday, taking them through to the semi finals. This is fantastic news, and should make viewing the game a much less stressful experience for me and I am sure the same will be the case for many other people."

Fairytale Farm is currently in the middle of its Christmas Fairytale event, with Santa and his magical elves resident on site most days until Christmas Eve.

Alfie can be seen every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Mr Laister said: "We wish the England team the best of luck for Saturday. With Alfie right behind them, we should be in for an exciting evening."

This morning his keepers posted a video of Alfie and owner Mr Laister attempting to predict the result of the England v France game.

Spoiler: it's good news for England.
