MORE flowers and tributes have appeared near a park in Wood Farm after a man was allegedly murdered.

At around 6.05am on November 30, officers were called to Wood Farm Park, between Wood Farm Road and Nuffield Road, following a report of a man 'calling for help.'

Phil Breach, 59, from Oxford, was found with a head wound and in a critical condition beside a path in the park.

He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for further treatment, but he died later that day.

A post mortem concluded that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and neck.

Tributes including flowers, cards and bottles of beer and milk have appeared near the park.

One of the cards said: “Phil, no words can express the loss we feel after losing you so suddenly. You are a beloved father, uncle and friend, so very sadly missed.”

Another said: “We love you Phil, sleep tight.”

Oxford Mail:

Yesterday Liam Jones, 43, of Bonar Road, Oxford, was charged with one count of murder in connection to the incident and appeared at Oxford Magistrates Court today.

Remanding him into custody, District Judge Rana told the defendant: "I don't have the power to even consider bail in these circumstances, so I am sending his matter to the crown court.

“Your next appearance will be on December 8. That is Thursday.

“I am remanding you into custody to that date."
