This programme helps experienced operators, like Mr Windsor, develop their skills to own and operate their very own Domino’s store.

He has over 13 years of Domino’s experience and started his career with Domino’s down under in Australia.

After over four years in management positions, Magnus went on to buy and operate three stores in Melbourne before moving back to be closer to his family in the UK and enrolling on the Homegrown Heroes programme.

Magnus has been busy building relationships in the local Faringdon community and will be running a charity deal for two weeks which will see £1 from every charity deal donated to The Place, a local charity which facilitates lifeline sessions for young families in the area.

Magnus Windsor, Franchise Partner for Domino’s Faringdon said: “I’m so proud to have opened my first UK store in Faringdon and can’t wait to start serving up classic Domino’s favourites to pizza lovers in the area.

“If I can provide great tasting pizza, with fantastic service that leaves a smile on my customers’ faces then job done!

“The local Faringdon community has given me the warmest welcome and I can’t wait to continue building relationships in the area.

“Not only am I passionate about pizza but I look forward to supporting the community and that’s why I’ve chosen to partner up with The Place for a special opening deal.”

The store will be open daily from 11am - 11pm, 7 days a week, serving up firm Domino’s favourites to locals including the Pepperoni Passion and Vegi Supreme, as well as the recent launches Ultimate Spicy Sausage Pizza and The Festive One.

The Domino’s story began in 1960, when Tom and James Monaghan opened the first ‘DomiNick’s’ store in Michigan, USA.

A year later, Tom traded his car to buy his brother’s share of the store and later renamed the business Domino’s Pizza.

The three dots on the logo represent the three stores that Tom originally planned to open.

Domino’s came to the UK in 1985, with the first store opening in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Today, there are over 1,200 stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland, delivering over 106 million freshly handcrafted pizzas a year.
